One of my favorite photographers is doing a project throughout the year on lifestyle photography. As I have been viewing the images she captures I decided to try and take more lifestyle photographs myself. I love how these photos can tell a story and capture the details in life that are the things we will cherish as these moments pass us by. Just one more thing to add to my obsession of documenting life as much as possible. My children may not have enough room to store all of their scrapbooks, time to read all the journal entries or time in life to watch the hours of video I capture of them, already burned and stored neatly in little boxes with their names but I can't help but capture every fleeing second that I can. I am still so thankful each and every day for the blessing of being able to have this little girl in my life and can't wait for little sister to get here!
This is Kaia's bed for the time being. A few nights ago she woke us as we heard her in her room saying help me help me. I went in to find her sitting on her crib railing, feet dangling out, and her little hands gripping her chest of drawers not able to get out or back in her crib. I guess it's time for a bed.
Due to cranking up my ISO while shooting indoors causing photos to have more grain, lifestyle photos look great in black and white as they resemble film but sometimes those big blue eyes just beg me not too!
Kaia loves her horses and farm animals. She loves to line them all up in one spot and then proceeds to do the same thing over and over in different locations throughout the apartment.
Kaia loves helping me in the kitchen as you can see why. This time we were making zucchini banana muffins and she liked the batter more than the actual muffins.
I think it's about time Kaia gets her own horse. :) This is a daily request.
Getting ready for a big bike ride in the hall. Glad we have this wonderful spot to play as the temps keep dropping outside. Kaia loves having her own bike like Daddy's and Mommy's and every other person around here. If you haven't seen these awesome Strider bikes you should check them out. They don't have any pedals teaching kids balance right from the get go meaning transitioning to a real bike will be a sinch. Kaia's cousin Braxton has one also and zooms around everywhere.
Thought I would add just a couple more. This little girl still loves her horses!
