This is one busy Dad! One very very busy Dad. For this reason we don't get to go on as many family adventures as we would like.
So when we found out he actually had ONE day off during week we decided to take advantage of it, crazy as it may have been. We drove "Up North" and went across the Mackinac Bridge (third longest suspension bridge in the world), crossed over into Michigans "famous, amazing, remote" Upper Peninsula and drove all the way to Lake Superior. Yes this was like a seven hour journey. When we arrived we went on a sunset boat tour to view the Pictured Rocks.
The next morning we went on a jaunt to Munising Falls and to some fun places at Pictured Rocks. Kaia loves the beach so we had to go to a beach.
Then we headed home a different way and went to Tahquamenon Falls (one of the largest waterfalls east of the Mississippi) or in Kaia's words, the big yucky waterfall. We finally made it home late that night but hey you do what you can with the time you have. There may have been some throw-up involved (surprisingly not from me :) ) but in the end we got to go on a family adventure, visit the three biggest great lakes, and cross something off of our Michigan bucket list.
